Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) Karan Johar, the versatile Bollywood figure, has recently expressed his intent to act as a matchmaker for the famous actor Kartik Aaryan.
During the trailer launch of his latest production, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, KJo highlighted his impressive history as a matchmaker, mentioning that numerous relationships in Bollywood have begun thanks to his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’.
While addressing the media present, he stated, “I have facilitated many marriages, and I want you to know that. Information flows to me, while some remains unshared. I consider myself a top matchmaker, even surpassing Seema aunty (Seema Taparia).”
KJo went on to say, “I may be better than Seema aunty, but I can’t reveal everything. Henceforth, after the release of this film, I will embrace the role of Kartik’s Seema.”
Kartik responded with gratitude, saying, “I truly appreciate it.”
In addition, KJo shared his excitement for the upcoming movie ‘Ikkis’, which posthumously features Dharmendra.
He remarked, “I am immensely proud of the acclaim for ‘Dhurandhar’ and extend my congratulations to the entire team. It’s a remarkable film. While I’ve heard wonderful things about ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’, I’ve also received glowing feedback about our film. Being a Christmas release, I believe it will resonate well with audiences.”
KJo continued, “I eagerly anticipate watching ‘Ikkis’. This film holds significant meaning for all of us. Personally, we hold great admiration and respect for Dharamji, and his loss has impacted us deeply. Experiencing it one last time is paramount for us as fans and cinema enthusiasts. Furthermore, it’s Agastya’s film, and I’ve known him for a long time. I believe we can achieve remarkable success at the box office. The prosperity of Indian cinema is interconnected with our success.”
‘Ikkis’, directed by Sriram Raghavan, narrates the story of Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardees, who was martyred during the 1971 Indo-Pak war at just 21 years old.
The film emphasizes military discipline, decision-making on the battlefield, and personal bravery, steering clear of melodramatic narratives. Adhering to historical accounts, it aims to depict the human cost of war while honoring a true hero whose valor remains of national significance.
