He noted that, although he received a multitude of advice—from books and podcasts to discussions with fellow parents—he quickly understood that parenting, especially as a single father, is a deeply personal journey.

The filmmaker also openly discussed the doubts and emotional hurdles he faced, admitting moments of uncertainty. My choice to be a single parent has been the single most emotionally rewarding decision I could have made… the answer to my every prayer to the universe….”
