Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Renowned actor Anupam Kher has attributed the devastating impacts of recent cloudburst incidents in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand to irresponsible construction. These natural disasters have resulted in significant destruction of roads, bridges, and properties in the affected regions.

While many lives were tragically lost, countless individuals have been displaced.

In a heartfelt video shared on his official Instagram account, Kher expressed his condolences to the residents of these states and highlighted the escalating construction activities as a primary factor contributing to such disastrous events.

Kher remarked, "Yeh zameen ke sath dharti ke sath iss tarah se vybhar karna toh dharti…nature toh jawab dega (If you will treat our mother earth in this manner, it is bound to retaliate)."

He urged everyone to cease the destruction of nature under the guise of progress, stating, "In the last few days, natural calamities have struck parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir. Lives have been lost. Homes have been devastated! There has been immense loss, and it deeply saddens me. I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have suffered losses in this disaster, including lives, loved ones, and property," Kher conveyed.

He emphasized that neglecting nature's care would lead to severe consequences. "If we continue to interfere with nature and persist in constructing hotels and residences in the mountains, we must brace ourselves for nature's fury. The incidents occurring in hilly regions over the past few years serve as a warning that we must heed," he cautioned.

"Once again, my sincere sympathies go out to the families who have lost their loved ones. I express my compassion for the injured and those who have lost their homes, animals, and other belongings!" Kher concluded.
