Kriti Sanon turned 'cranky' on strict diet during Cocktail 2 shoot in Italy
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Actress Kriti Sanon, who plays Ally in the upcoming sequel 'Cocktail 2', has revealed that she was “extremely cranky and hangry” through the shoot after being put on one of the toughest diets of her life — and that too while filming in Italy. The actress made the candid admission at the film's trailer launch in Mumbai on 2 June.
What Kriti said at the trailer launch
Speaking to the media, Sanon said the physical transformation for Ally was the hardest part of the project. ‘I must say it was a very tough experience because I wasn't getting to eat much, and I was, for the first time in my life, on a very strict diet, that too in Italy. And I think Shahid can vouch for the fact that I was extremely cranky and hangry all the time,' she said.
The actress added that the discipline now feels worth it, given early audience reactions to her character. ‘So yeah, I mean, everything is worth it, I hope so, now that you're saying that Ally is feeling like your spirit animal, I hope everything is worth it,' she added.
Why Ally matters to her
Sanon described 'Cocktail 2' as ‘stylish and visually refreshing, but also very relatable and modern,' adding that the relationships in the film are ‘messy, warm, and real in their own way.' She called the film ‘a toast to friendship and love from today's lens,' singling out the music as a stand-out element.
