Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) Actress Kriti Sanon has resumed her fitness routine following her sister Nupur’s wedding, humorously mentioning the extra “mithai weight” she acquired during the festivities.

The star, celebrated for her toned physique, expressed her commitment to revealing her abs. She took to Instagram to share a post from her trainer, showcasing her determination during an intense core workout.

In her caption, the “Bareilly Ki Barfi” actress alluded to her abs being concealed under the “mithai weight.”

She wrote, “Time to uncover those abs hidden beneath that mithai weight!”

Kriti’s sister Nupur wed Stebin Ben in Udaipur on January 10, 2026, during both Christian and Hindu ceremonies.

On the professional front, Kriti will star alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the upcoming film “Cocktail 2.” Although she has previously collaborated with Shahid in “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” this marks her first project with Rashmika.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the sequel's storyline, crafted by Luv Ranjan, remains largely undisclosed.

Kriti's most recent appearance was in “Tere Ishk Mein,” a romantic drama directed by Aanand L. Rai. This film serves as a spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa (2013) and features Dhanush alongside Kriti. The narrative follows Shankar, who forms a bond with Mukti while she researches him for her PhD. After she moves on, Shankar enlists in the Indian Air Force, and years later, their unresolved past resurfaces during a reunion.

Kriti began her career with the Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine in 2014, followed by her Hindi debut in the action film Heropanti. She gained broader recognition with the romantic action movie Dilwale. Her role in the comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi and as a surrogate mother in Mimi earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress.
