Mumbai, March 14 (NationPress) On the festival of Holi this Friday, actress Krystle Dsouza expressed her passion for gujiyas and shared that she begins her day by applying a color “teeka” on her loved ones.
“I have always cherished every festival. For Holi, I kick off my day by preparing and adorning my family and friends with a color teeka. Following that, my mother oils my hair, and I’m ready to head out and revel in the festivities of Holi,” Krystle shared with IANS.
When asked about her favorite aspect of Holi, the actress mentioned the delectable treats.
“I absolutely adore gujiyas! Once I begin indulging in them, I simply cannot resist having more,” she remarked.
Reflecting on her most unforgettable Holi celebration, Krystle mentioned a memorable instance in Bikaner, Rajasthan, where she celebrated with natural colors.
“My most unforgettable Holi was the one we celebrated in Bikaner. We journeyed all the way to Rajasthan specifically to partake in Holi, and it was genuinely remarkable. We relished the stunning palace ambiance, played with organic colors, and spent the day enjoying live music and delicious cuisine.”
The actress, recognized for her roles in ‘Kahe Naa Kahe’, ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’, and ‘Fittrat’, believes that Holi scenes on screen possess a magical quality, making them feel just as vibrant and exhilarating as the actual festival.
“I’ve filmed numerous Holi scenes on-screen. Honestly, they don’t feel very different from real-life festivities. Everyone tends to loosen up while filming Holi scenes, and sometimes we even forget we’re performing—it feels incredibly authentic!” shared the actress, who has appeared in films like Visfot and Chehre.
Recalling her cherished Holi sequences, she said: “My fondest Holi sequence was during Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. We were all very close on set, and since we seldom had breaks due to the show’s demanding schedule, celebrating Holi on set felt like a true festivity.”
“The director had to consistently remind us to maintain our roles because we became so caught up in the moment,” she added.
