Kunal Ganjawala Unveils Hilarious Backstory of 'Dil Keh Raha Hai' from Kyon Ki
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 11 (NationPress) Renowned vocalist Kunal Ganjawala shared a delightful backstory about the iconic song "Dil Keh Raha Hai" from the film featuring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, titled "Kyon Ki".
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Kunal disclosed that he and composer Himesh Reshammiya managed to record the entire song in a mere 20 minutes.
He recounted, "The tale behind it is quite amusing. When I performed the song, I received the lyrics through SMS. At that moment, I received a call from Himesh Bhai (Reshammiya). His father was overseeing the process while Himesh was occupied with another session."
Kunal further explained that Himesh instructed him over the phone, saying, "We need to capture the same romantic and youthful essence as 'Hum Dum Suniyo Re' because this song is meant for Salman Bhai (Khan)."
After the track was recorded, Himesh arrived at the studio and informed his father, "Dad, this isn't what I envisioned. Perhaps you misunderstood my direction."
Consequently, they completed the song in just 15-20 minutes.
"Himesh had a very clear vision of what he desired," Kunal noted.
Discussing "Kyon Ki", directed by Priyadarshan, the film is produced by Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja under the banners of Orion Pictures and MAD Entertainment Ltd.
The movie is a remake of Priyadarshan's own 1986 Malayalam film "Thalavattam", inspired by the 1975 film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," based on Ken Kesey's 1962 novel.

"Kyon Ki" revolves around Anand, a patient in a mental health facility, and Tanvi, a female doctor who forms an emotional bond with him.
