Chennai, March 19 (NationPress) American actor Kyle Paul, who is currently portraying a character in director Geethu Mohandas's pan-Indian film Toxic, starring Kannada superstar Yash, recently shared a video praising Geethu Mohandas and her supportive Indian crew.
In a video that has gained traction on social media, Kyle, appearing from his hotel room, mentions, “I just had an incredibly positive experience on my movie set here in India. I am working on a film titled Toxic.”
Stating that it was 3 AM, Kyle elaborates, “For a scene, I needed to evoke very high emotions while speaking in an Indian language, Kannada. I had to be emotional while grappling with words I barely comprehend. It was challenging to maintain such high emotions while also thinking logically.”
He expresses his gratitude for the director and the entire team, saying, “The director, her name is Geethu – absolutely sweet Geethu. Throughout my struggles, she was there saying, ‘You’ve got this.’ She consistently encouraged me, saying, ‘Take your time. We are here for you.’ The entire crew was exceptional... it was genuinely the best experience I have ever had on set. Although I was messing up, it's just another reason I adore India.”
Toxic is set to be a groundbreaking film in Indian cinema, as it is the first major Indian project to be conceptualized, scripted, and filmed in both English and Kannada. The film will also be dubbed in several Indian and international languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, creating a truly cross-cultural cinematic experience.
Leading this ambitious venture is acclaimed filmmaker Geethu Mohandas. Known for her emotionally impactful storytelling, Mohandas has received prestigious awards including the National Award and the Global Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Film Festival.
Produced collaboratively by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups aims to transform the action genre by fusing western precision with Indian intensity.
