Chennai, March 25 (NationPress) The stunt coordinator for director Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly anticipated political action film L2: Empuraan has revealed that the most arduous stunt sequence was filmed in Ladakh.
During a press meet held in Chennai, Stunt Silva was prompted to mention the location of the most difficult fight scene in the film.
He stated, “The most challenging fight sequence took place in Ladakh. On our first day there, we were greeted with sunny weather. However, the subsequent day brought heavy snowfall. The area became blanketed in snow. The director insisted on filming in sunny conditions. We had to remain in our accommodations for several days. The entire crew, including many international members, endured a week of waiting with limited resources. We could only begin filming once the light was suitable. That was the most challenging part.”
The film, which has been filmed in various locations worldwide, is an epic project with significant expectations attached to it.
Featuring Mohanlal in the leading role, the film is a collaborative production between Antony Perumbavoor, Lyca Productions, and Sri Gokulam Movies. The screenplay has been crafted by Murali Gopy, with music composed by Deepak Dev. The cinematography is managed by Sujith Vaassudev, and editing is handled by Akhilesh Mohan.
The first part of the franchise, Lucifer, released in 2019 and marked the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, quickly became a blockbuster, grossing over Rs 200 crore within just eight days, making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date.
With the sequel set to release on March 27 this year, excitement levels have reached new heights.
