Lathha, who is making waves as a female director in the Tamil film industry, expressed, "My passion for fairy tales has been longstanding. As a child, I was captivated by the stories shared by my grandmother and mother. Eventually, I began weaving those narratives into my own imaginative tales, sharing them with everyone, especially my kids. This ignited my aspiration to create a film. One day, my children asked me, 'Why not write a story that you cherish?' That’s how 'Maragathamalai' was born. I completed it with the support of talented technicians.”
