Mumbai, July 11 (NationPress) The much-anticipated trailer for the film ‘Dhadak 2’ was released on Friday. This sequel features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, who come from contrasting backgrounds. The narrative delves into the issue of discrimination faced by individuals from marginalized castes and serves as the second chapter in the ‘Dhadak’ series, which originally launched actress Janhvi Kapoor.
The film promises a journey filled with intensity, vulnerability, and a candid exploration of heartbreak. Siddhant portrays the character Neelesh, taking on a role that requires both emotional depth and restraint. His performance is raw, grounded, and profoundly moving, showcasing a range of emotions from passionate love to deep sorrow, and from rebellion to calmness without faltering.
Previously, the actor expressed at the NDTV Yuva event in the national capital that this film has allowed him to break away from the urban roles he usually receives.
He stated, “I’d love to announce the release date first; I trust Karan is watching this. We have created a deeply rooted film. Generally, I have been typecast in urban roles, but coming from Ballia, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, this is my first venture into such a genre.”
In contrast, Triptii Dimri brings a unique strength and poise to her character. Together, they share a chemistry that is both tender and stormy, enhancing the narrative which transcends mere romance.
‘Dhadak 2’ is a romantic drama penned and directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions. This film serves as a spiritual sequel to ‘Dhadak’, which was itself a remake of the acclaimed Marathi film ‘Sairat’.
The film, under the banner of Dharma Productions, is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 1, 2025.
