Mumbai, Dec 19 (NationPress) Actress Maanvi Gagroo, currently promoting her new series, ‘Four More Shots Please’, has expressed her firm viewpoint regarding society's tendency to judge women harshly.
In an interview with IANS, the actress raised an important question about why women are continuously scrutinized for their choices, while men seldom face similar questioning, even when their behavior is unreasonable.
“There is a persistent judgement around women’s choices, whether it’s drinking, smoking, or partying. Yet, men are not held accountable for actions such as relieving themselves in public. Shouldn’t they be judged too?” Maanvi remarked during her conversation with IANS.
“My concern lies with the evident disparity in judgement across genders. First and foremost, we need to level the playing field for both genders. Before debating the fairness of judgement, we should ponder whether judging anyone at all is just,” Maanvi concluded.
In 'Four More Shots Please', Maanvi portrays Siddhi Patel, a relatable character who navigates ambition, friendships, and the chaos of life while cleverly highlighting hypocrisy within her lively friend group.
The fourth season of Four More Shots Please, released on December 19, marks its conclusion. The previous three seasons garnered positive responses from both viewers and critics.
This series features Maanvi Gagroo, along with Bani J, Kriti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Prateik, Smita Patil, Dino Morea, Lisa Ray, Rajeev Siddhartha, and Ankur Rathee, in addition to newcomers Anasuya Sengupta and Kunaal Roy Kapur. The show is directed by Arunima Sharma.
