Mumbai, Dec 29 (NationPress) Bollywood legend Madhuri Dixit recently shared her heartfelt memories of working alongside the iconic actor Dharmendra.

In a special interview with IANS, she reflected on her early career where she was a junior performer next to him and praised his remarkable humility. The ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ star recalled how Dharmendra never allowed his success to inflate his ego. She reminisced about his encouraging demeanor, his fondness for poetry, and described him as a true gentleman and an exceptional actor.

Reflecting on their time together, Madhuri remarked, “I worked on one film with him and we were like juniors; we were practically like little kids. He was an absolute gentleman, always sweet, articulate, and grounded, never took his accomplishments too seriously.”

“He was always lifting others up, praising everyone around him. His love for poetry was evident; he would recite his own poems to us. In my opinion, he was one of the most handsome men in the industry, and his passing is a significant loss,” the ‘Devdas’ actress added.

Dharmendra sadly passed away on November 24 at the age of 89 after battling age-related health issues. He had been hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai but continued his treatment at home after discharge. Just 12 days later, he left us.

In the wake of his passing, Madhuri Dixit took to social media to honor the late superstar. She expressed, “An icon who exemplified grace, strength, and humility. Dharamji, your absence creates an irreplaceable void. Your legacy transcends the screen and lives on in the admiration of millions. Your exceptional work, humility, and charming spirit have made a lasting impact on the industry. Thank you for inspiring, entertaining, and moving hearts through the years.
