Mumbai, April 9 (NationPress) Actress Mamta Kulkarni has shared her insights regarding the health awareness among Indian women, suggesting that they often neglect their health. She believes that the focus of many Indian women is primarily on their families, particularly their husbands and children, which leads to a lack of health consciousness.

In a video posted on her social media, Mamta highlighted that numerous Indian women fail to prioritize physical fitness. They often dedicate their lives to their families, which can adversely affect their health. She noted that this lack of health awareness is not confined to women; many men and children in India also do not prioritize fitness.

Furthermore, Mamta observed that even when men and children do visit health clubs, they often engage in socializing rather than focusing on their fitness. She emphasized the importance of everyone taking charge of their health.

Comparing with citizens from other nations, she pointed out that individuals of all ages abroad seem to be more health-conscious. From proper vitamin intake to regular gym sessions, they maintain better health, making them generally fitter than many Indians.

“Our bodies require essential nutrients like vitamin D. While some may ridicule foreigners for wearing bikinis, they do not recognize the health benefits of sun exposure. This contributes to their superior growth and fitness. Many foreigners remain active well into their 80s,” she stated. “Children in those countries are also engaged in activities like swimming and playing outdoors.”

Speaking about her own health regimen, Mamta shared, “I prioritize spending time at the beach at least once or twice weekly. This has been part of my routine for years, benefiting me both physically and spiritually. Our bodies are composed of five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and sky.”

She continued, “I make it a point to walk barefoot on the sand, which is believed to alleviate various ailments. If I can’t make it to the beach, I opt for the health club, visiting the pool two to three times a week for swimming and sunbathing.”

She mentioned, “I usually swim for an hour and then sunbathe for an additional hour or two. While in Dubai, I would walk barefoot on JBR beach, enjoying the sun and sand.”

On the benefits of walking barefoot on sand, Mamta noted, “It is thought that the salt in the sand can help detoxify the body. Some even claim that this practice can benefit those with paralysis if done consistently.”

In conclusion, she urged everyone to spend time outdoors, soak up the sun, and connect with nature. “Engage in deep breathing, as I often do, and meditate. Being close to nature is vital for health. Remember, if you are healthy, you are truly alive. You are your own world. Jai Maa Bhavani.”
