New Delhi, March 26 (NationPress) Over a career that has lasted three decades and garnered numerous accolades, including a National Award, actress Manju Warrier disclosed that she remains just as anxious as she was when filming her very first scene.

Reflecting on feelings of uncertainty, Manju, who has also received a Kerala State Film Award, shared with IANS: “I wouldn't label it as self-doubt. However, I still feel as nervous as I did for my initial shot in my first film.”

“Before every scene, whether in Empuraan or any other upcoming project, I experience the same level of anxiety as I did for my debut shot. I hope this feeling never fades, as it drives me to constantly strive for improvement,” she further explained. She made her acting debut in 1995 with Sakshyam.

The actress is incredibly thrilled about the release of her forthcoming film “L2: Empuraan”, which is set to hit theaters on March 27.

“I am more than just excited; I feel immensely grateful for the chance to be part of this grand project. If you can call it that, Lucifer, the first installment of this franchise, was one of those films that is a privilege for any actor to be involved in.”

“The film's scale and the audience's acceptance, along with the kind of role I get to portray, make it truly special. Plus, working alongside exceptional talents like Mohanlal has been a fortunate experience for me, as we have collaborated on several well-received films.”

She also praised Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is both directing and starring in the upcoming movie.

“While I haven't worked with Prithviraj as an actor, I had the opportunity to interact with him for the first time as a director in Lucifer and now in Empuraan.

“I can confidently say he ranks among my top five favorite directors. Collaborating with someone who possesses such confidence and clarity in their vision is a delightful experience for any actor…”

“Thus, I am relishing the privilege, joy, and anticipation of being part of this remarkable film. I am also eagerly looking forward to hearing the audience's response to it.”
