New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) With a career that exceeds two decades and boasts over 100 films, Prithviraj Sukumaran has received numerous accolades, including a National Film Award and four Kerala State Film Awards, among others. Nevertheless, for this actor-director, the core of artistry is rooted in perpetual self-reflection.

Self-doubt never leaves you. The fundamental aspect of being an artist is the ability to question yourself. The moment you believe that you have reached perfection, it's the moment you should retire,” Prithiviraj expressed in an interview with IANS.

“Every actor experiences this feeling of self-doubt. The talented ones will definitely affirm this,” he continued.

The 42-year-old artist, who is preparing for the launch of his upcoming action thriller L2: Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal, noted that he has witnessed the Malayalam icon feeling anxious.

“I can observe Mohanlal sir becoming apprehensive. Having the honor of acting alongside him, I recall a moment where he asked me for my opinion on a scene. I was amazed that he was questioning it. That is part of the process,” he shared.

“These legends, like Mammootty sir and Mohanlal sir, have nothing left to prove. Even if they ceased their work today, they would still be remembered as two of the greatest actors in history.”

He emphasized: “Yet, even now, they arrive on set, read a scene, and at times, they feel tense and worried. Thus, self-doubt is a constant companion and should always be present.”

L2: Empuraan,” also known as L2E, is an action thriller that serves as the second installment in a planned trilogy, following the 2019 film Lucifer. Jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas, this film is set to premiere on March 27.

It features Prithviraj, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Baiju Santhosh, Fazil, and Sachin Khedekar reprising their roles from the original.
