Los Angeles, Jan 10 (NationPress) The former home of the late actor Matthew Perry, located in Pacific Palisades, has remarkably survived the catastrophic wildfires that have impacted the region.
The property's new owner, Anita Verma-Lallian, took to Instagram on Friday, January 10, to confirm that the wildfires did not damage the iconic residence of the Friends star, as reported by ‘People’ magazine.
"We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the courageous firefighters, our wonderful neighbors, and the entire Palisades community for their assistance, resilience, and support during this sorrowful period,” Anita expressed in her post.
According to ‘People’, the realtor, Brooke Elliott Laurinkus, who facilitated the sale of the home, played a crucial role in monitoring and safeguarding the property amidst the natural disaster. After expressing gratitude to Laurinkus for "keeping us informed on all developments,” Anita noted that Laurinkus will "also assist anyone in need of temporary housing during this crisis.”
She encouraged her followers to consider contributing to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. "Our thoughts remain with all those impacted by this misfortune, and we aspire to unite in healing, safeguarding, and reconstructing what has been lost,” she remarked. "The Palisades will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts.”
The movie producer and real estate developer acquired the property through an off-market transaction one year following Perry’s unexpected passing. She publicly announced her purchase and her intention to use the house as a vacation retreat in an Instagram post dated October 31, 2024.
In her announcement, she pledged to honor the actor’s legacy as the new homeowner. "We chose to celebrate the positive facets of the previous owner’s life, his remarkable talent, and all the happiness he brought to countless individuals,” she wrote. “Our decision to buy the home was solely based on our appreciation of the property, not the previous owner.”
