Brown traced her enthusiasm for dress-up directly to her own upbringing. 'Dressing up is a big one for me. I loved dressing up as a child. I don’t know if that was me screaming to everyone saying I wanted to be an actor, but for me, I loved dressing up as different princesses and knights and dinosaurs,' she said in an interview with People magazine.

That passion has carried over into her daughter’s playroom. 'I was big on a bunch of costumes. I loved costumes. So we have a very big costume rack in our playroom,' she added.
