Mumbai, March 27 (NationPress) Director Sanoj Mishra, who has faced accusations from Kumbh Mela girl Monalisa regarding inappropriate contact, claims that the backlash he is experiencing is orchestrated by the banned Islamist political group, Popular Front of India (PFI).

In a recent interview with IANS, the director asserted that Monalisa has been swayed by her husband, who allegedly operates under the directives of PFI.

He described Monalisa as a victim of Love Jihad, explaining that a man from Baghpat traveled to Ujjain, tied a thread, and eloped with her to marry in Kerala.

Mishra stated, “We have reiterated this multiple times in our previous videos. The PFI is working to tarnish our religion, pursuing their Islamic agenda through individuals aligned with it. I was among the first to publicly oppose this. I advocated for her family, as they claimed she was a minor, and sought justice by approaching CM Mohan Yadav and filing a complaint with the police.”

He alleged that once the investigation into his complaint commenced, Monalisa’s husband manipulated her against him.

“As I mentioned in a video six days prior, I anticipated that investigations would be initiated against us to suppress the Love Jihad issue, as I am a prominent voice on this topic nationally. If my reputation suffers, the focus will shift from the Love Jihad issue to my character. The ongoing investigation is misleading Monalisa, convincing her that I assaulted her, yet there is no evidence or witnesses to support this; it is purely unfounded,” he remarked.

Mishra emphasized, “This serves as a significant lesson for those who wish to assist those in need. I implore you to avoid associating with uneducated individuals; allow them to remain in their predicament. The hardships I face stem from my desire to uplift this girl from her ordinary life. Look at my current state—my career of 35 years, my entire financial investment is at risk due to baseless allegations. The media trials can rapidly damage a person's reputation.”

He noted that until 15 days ago, when Monalisa was still in his presence, she expressed gratitude for how he had transformed her life.

“What caused this sudden transformation? There is a Maulana behind her, eager to secure his own future. She has also spoken ill of her parents, labeling them as greedy drunks. Who raises a daughter with such care yet is accused of being a drunkard? How could she make such heartless claims? The man, influenced by PFI money, is living lavishly, traveling in planes, surrounded by bodyguards and luxury cars, creating a spectacle,” he continued.

“The entire society is observing, particularly the Hindu community. I have previously warned that PFI and the Christian missionaries linked to them would target me due to my film, ‘The Diary of Manipur’, which addresses religious conversion. I was wrongfully imprisoned before for similar accusations, and now conspiracies are unfolding again. Citizens, you are aware of the truth. I am committed to serving you all and will consistently prove my integrity,” he concluded.

Earlier, Monalisa had leveled serious accusations against the director, alleging he misbehaved with minor girls under the pretense of offering them roles in films. Before these allegations surfaced, the director had voiced concerns regarding Love Jihad, suggesting that Monalisa might be a victim of such circumstances. Following his statements, she held a press conference in Kochi, Kerala, accompanied by her husband, Farman, where she reiterated her claims.
