Mumbai, Jan 25 (NationPress) Mithun Chakraborty is set to take on an important role in Vivek Agnihotri's eagerly anticipated drama, “The Delhi file: The Bengal Chapter.” In a recent media discussion, the seasoned actor shared insights about his relationship with the director.
When asked, Mithun Chakraborty responded, "I have collaborated on two films with Vivek Agnihotri so far - The Tashkent Files and Kashmir Files. We have a shared mental wavelength; he comprehends me, and I have a clear understanding of him as well. Whenever he needs to clarify a scene, he approaches me, describing the scene, and then he assures me, 'now you understand.' This reflects his confidence that I grasp it and will embody the character. That’s the kind of rapport I share with him. I believe he is one of the most talented directors in India today, consistently presenting stories that are hard to refuse."
Moreover, Mithun Chakraborty will also be sharing the screen with his son Namashi Chakraborty for the first time in “The Delhi file: The Bengal Chapter.” Reflecting on their collaborative experience, Mithun Chakraborty stated, "While I performed a dance sequence in his film, Bad Boy, this marks our first full-fledged collaboration. However, we do not share any scenes together in this film."
Namashi Chakraborty added, "The narrative of the film alternates between timelines, so my father and I do not have overlapping scenes. Initially, I was astonished that Vivek sir entrusted me with such a serious and intense role, but it was his faith and my dad's belief that I could manage it. This has been an extraordinary experience, and I consider Delhi Files to be my best experience in cinema."
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, “The Delhi file: The Bengal Chapter” is co-produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi. It is presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal & I Am Buddha Productions, and the film is slated for release on August 15th this year.
