Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday, 6 June attended the 'Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention' at Thyagaraj Sports Complex, New Delhi, calling on India's youth to work alongside the nation to build both their personal futures and the country's. The event, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, brought together thousands of young achievers from across India.

What CM Gupta Said

Speaking on the sidelines of the convention, Gupta said, 'I believe that the youth of the country, who are visionary, courageous, and creative, should work shoulder to shoulder with the nation to build both their own future and the future of the country. This event was organised for that purpose.'

She also commended the recognition of young achievers from diverse fields at the event, calling their honouring a fitting tribute to the country's emerging talent.

In a post on X, CM Gupta wrote, 'Participated in the Youth for Viksit Bharat – MY Bharat Youth Convention with the Honourable Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Ji. The enthusiasm of the thousands of youth present here is the greatest strength of a developed India. In a separate post, she urged the youth to convert the platforms provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi into new achievements through talent, hard work, and innovation.

Bihar MLA Maithili Thakur Joins the Programme

Bihar MLA Maithili Thakur also participated in the convention and praised PM Narendra Modi for actively engaging India's youth in the nation-building process. She described the event as graced by the presence of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, CM Rekha Gupta, and several distinguished guests.

In her post on X, Thakur said it was 'immensely heartening to witness the enthusiasm, energy, and unwavering commitment of the youth who gathered from every corner of the country toward building a developed India.'

Broader Significance

The convention is part of the MY Bharat initiative, a government-backed platform aimed at channelling youth participation into national development goals under the Viksit Bharat vision — India's roadmap to becoming a developed nation by 2047.
