Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), operating under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, launched the 'Youth for Viksit Bharat — MY Bharat Youth Convention' on Saturday, 7 June 2025 at Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi, drawing more than 6,000 young participants from across India in what the government has billed as a landmark celebration of youth leadership and nation-building.

Who Is Attending and Why It Matters

The convention brings together a cross-section of India's youth — students, entrepreneurs, innovators, content creators, emerging leaders and young women — all under one roof to engage with accomplished personalities from sport, business and public life. Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta are among the senior leaders present, alongside a roster of youth icons drawn from diverse sectors.

The event is being organised in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of positioning young Indians as the primary driving force behind achieving Viksit Bharat @2047 — the government's target of a fully developed India by the centenary of independence.

Notable Personalities Engaging Participants

Among those expected to interact with attendees is Gurindervir Singh, India's fastest man and the current national record holder in the 100 metres. Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, entrepreneur and boAt co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Aman Gupta, and Olympic medallist Aman Sehrawat are also on the list of confirmed speakers. Prominent content creators including Malhar Kalambe and RJ Raunac, along with successful UPSC achievers, are expected to address the gathering as well.

The convention will also honour emerging talents who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in sports, entrepreneurship, governance and content creation — a recognition organisers say is designed to encourage deeper youth participation in society and national development.

Guinness World Record Milestone

A key highlight of the convention is the celebration of MY Bharat's recent Guinness World Records recognition for the 'Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week' — an achievement secured through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) Quiz initiative.

The nationwide programme recorded participation from more than 50 lakh young people spanning all 28 states and 8 Union Territories. During the official assessment window, 3,90,812 participants successfully completed the quiz, establishing a new world record. According to the Ministry, the milestone reflects the scale of youth engagement with the Viksit Bharat vision and the growing reach of MY Bharat as a platform for civic participation.

The Broader Significance

This is the first large-format youth convention organised by MY Bharat since the platform was formally launched. The government has framed the gathering as a meeting point between 'achievers of today' and the 'architects of tomorrow's India' — language that signals an intent to institutionalise youth engagement as a policy priority rather than a one-off event.

This comes amid a broader push by the Centre to channel youth energy into structured national programmes, with MY Bharat serving as the primary vehicle. With India's median age at approximately 28 years, the demographic dividend argument underpins much of the government's outreach calculus.

The Ministry's statement described the convention as a reaffirmation of the collective determination of the 'Amrit Peedhi' to contribute to nation-building. How the platform translates convention energy into sustained grassroots engagement will be the real measure of its impact in the months ahead.
