Chennai, March 12 (NationPress) The production team behind the much-anticipated thriller 'Patriot', directed by Mahesh Narayanan and featuring the iconic Malayalam cinema stars Mammootty and Mohanlal, has unveiled the enchanting romantic track 'Kaattu Thottappol' today, much to the excitement of enthusiasts and followers of cinema.

The song, beautifully visualized with Darshana Rajendran and Kunchacko Boban, is composed by Sushin Shyam. Vocals are delivered by iSai and Kapil Kapilan, with lyrics crafted by Anwar Ali.

Sushin Shyam announced the song's release on his Instagram, stating, "It’s here! #KaattuThottappol Video Song from #Patriot Out Now."

The buzz surrounding 'Patriot' has escalated significantly among fans and film aficionados. The producers have confirmed that both Mammootty and Mohanlal have successfully completed their dubbing for the film.

Recently, the production team also shared a Behind The Scenes (BTS) video showcasing clips from the film's shooting in Sri Lanka.

Mohanlal took to his X platform to share, "#Patriot Behind The Scenes: Sri Lanka. In Cinemas Worldwide from April 23, 2026."

The BTS video features stunning visuals shot at an airbase, showcasing helicopters, planes, and fighter jets. It highlights the compelling reunion of the two legends of Malayalam cinema after a gap of 18 years.

One striking scene shows Fahadh Faasil inside a fighter jet cockpit, engaging with a professional about the aircraft's controls. Notably, Fahadh Faasil has revealed that he portrays the antagonist in the film.

For those who are unaware, 'Patriot' is set to release globally on April 23 this year.

On January 4, the film's team announced the completion of the shooting, stating, "That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the Big screen."

They also shared a BTS video featuring all the actors on set during the announcement.

This film, which has generated immense anticipation since its announcement, also stars acclaimed actors Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy alongside the two superstars.

A teaser released last year heightened fans' expectations. It begins with a voiceover reminiscing about a time when the nation was under the control of two powerful figures. The audience is left intrigued by a series of intense scenes, with Mammootty's voice stating, "They are going to bring social score to people," while Mohanlal, seemingly portraying an army general, poses the question, "There are three of us. Do you think you can stop us?"

The teaser hints at a program called Periscope, with Kunchacko Boban playing a character named Daniel. Nayanthara queries, "Is this program part of the student laptop scheme? Is it similar to Periscope?" Another voice raises concerns about whether the program is spying on them. The teaser concludes with Mammootty asking, "Great Indian traitor... or Patriot?"

Overall, the teaser suggests that the film will focus on a group of socially conscious individuals trying to prevent the government from illegally monitoring its citizens.
