Mukesh Khanna Responds After Sonakshi Sinha Critiques His Comments on Her Upbringing

Mumbai, Dec 18 (NationPress) After Sonakshi Sinha took a stand against Mukesh Khanna for his offensive remarks about her upbringing, the Mahabharat actor has responded, clarifying that he had no intention to harm her reputation.
In a detailed note shared on his Instagram stories, Khanna expressed surprise at Sonakshi's delayed reaction, emphasizing that he harbored no ill will towards her or her father, Shatrughan Sinha, who he respects and shares a friendly relationship with.
In his message, Mukesh stated, “Dear Sonakshi, I am taken aback by your delayed response. I recognized I was upsetting you by mentioning your name in reference to that incident from the renowned Kaun Banega Crorepati show. However, I want to clarify that I had no malicious intent to tarnish your image or that of your father, whom I regard highly and have a cordial rapport with.”
He continued, “My sole purpose was to comment on the current generation, often referred to as ‘Genz’ by the elders, who seem to be subservient to the modern Google era and mobile technology. Their understanding is confined to Wikipedia and social interactions via YouTube. Here, I had an exemplary case in your instance that I felt could serve as a teaching moment for others. This is a message for fathers, sons, and daughters alike, to remind them that we possess immense and profound knowledge embedded in our culture, Sanskriti, and history that every youth should not only be aware of but also take pride in. That was my only intention.”
Khanna wrapped up his note by stating, “And yes, I regret discussing this in multiple interviews. Lesson learned. It won't happen again. Rest assured. Take care.”
In light of these events, Shatrughan Sinha has come forward to support his daughter Sonakshi after Mukesh Khanna's verbal jabs. Following Khanna's critique of Sonakshi's upbringing, the actress fired back. Now, Shatrughan has publicly condemned Khanna's statements, questioning his motives.
The controversy ignited when Mukesh Khanna criticized Sonakshi during an interview for her performance on “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” where she struggled to answer a question related to the Ramayana. In reaction, the 'Akira' actress addressed him with an open letter. Subsequently, Shatrughan joined the discussion, denouncing Khanna's remarks.
