Mumbai, March 7 (NationPress) Srikanth Odela, the director behind the forthcoming Nani-starrer film ‘The Paradise’, has described it as an unapologetically honest Indian cinematic piece. The production team recently unveiled the initial teaser, delivering a gritty and compelling preview that captivated audiences online.

‘The Paradise’ serves as a profound exploration of societal biases, set in the historical context of 1980s Secunderabad.

This narrative centers around a marginalized tribe deprived of their rights, who find inspiration in an unexpected leader, a character referred to as “a bastard,” who spearheads their struggle for citizenship and acknowledgment in a system designed to maintain their subjugation. The movie’s core message is encapsulated in the phrase, “You don’t need an identity to be a leader,” with Odela vowing to confront issues of bureaucracy, oppression, and exploitation.

Regarding this project, he remarked, “This time, we are not concealing or softening societal taboos. As a filmmaker, my commitment is to portray the film in its purest essence. ‘The Paradise’ will emerge as one of the most genuine, original, and unapologetically honest Indian films, with significant potential and relevance to resonate on a global scale.”

The director, who made his 2023 debut with ‘Dasara’, also featuring Nani, received accolades from SIIMA and IIFA.

“If 1,000 of my efforts can motivate a single person from across the globe to watch my film, I am prepared to invest that effort because ‘The Paradise’ deserves to reach a worldwide audience,” he added.

Regarding the film, Nani commented, “This is India’s ‘Mad Max’, and I say this with complete sincerity. The tone and essence of ‘The Paradise’ will be wild, and that wildness will be paired with poetic justice.”

‘The Paradise’ is scheduled for release in eight languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam on March 26, 2026, in theaters.
