Mumbai, Jan 23 (NationPress) Actress Nimrat Kaur on Thursday honored the memory of her late father, Major Bhupender Singh, as it marked 32 years since he sacrificed his life while serving the country.
Reflecting on his legacy as a “self-made son of the soil” and a brave soldier, Nimrat shared on Instagram that her father lived and ultimately died with unparalleled valor and dignity.
“It has been 32 years since Papa departed from us while serving the nation. A self-made son of the soil, an incomparable husband and father, and above all, a courageous soldier who feared nothing, not even death, as we were told in his final moments,” Nimrat conveyed in her post caption.
The actress posted a series of photographs and expressed her gratitude to the Indian Army and local authorities for memorializing his name in Ganganagar, where he was born, and in the Kashmir Valley, where he achieved martyrdom.
“I am eternally thankful to the Indian Army and the administration for keeping Papa’s name alive on the land where he was born in Ganganagar and where he took his last breath in the Kashmir Valley.”
She mentioned that she thinks of her father more profoundly on this day than any other and prayed for all soldiers who have died in the line of duty.
