Los Angeles, July 27 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Pamela Anderson has revealed her passion for jazz music while filming ‘The Naked Gun’.
The 58-year-old actress takes on the role of Beth Davenport in this new comedic feature, and she expressed her delight in performing alongside a jazz band during a specific scene, according to reports from Female First UK.
In her collaboration with Liam Neeson in the film, Pamela shared with People magazine, "I was the scat soloist in eighth grade. I love jazz. I play saxophone, and I have scatted a few times."
She added, "When I came across that part in the script, I knew it was destiny. Who better to take on this role? I think that's what led me to conclude, ‘Perhaps I can take on this role’.”
As reported by Female First UK, Pamela reminisced about filming that scene, saying, "I love to scat. It was in the script; it wasn't spontaneous. I still can’t get it out of my mind. I can vividly recall every moment of that jazz performance.”
Earlier this month, Pamela noted that every actor must exhibit courage in their trade. The star believes she shines brightest in moments of fear, like when she performed in ‘The Naked Gun’.
In her conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Pamela explained, "Courage is essential. One must have the courage to be an actor. That’s when I feel most alive, especially when I sing. I genuinely enjoy being on stage.”
“The satisfaction is immense because we often hold back parts of ourselves, particularly as artists. I enjoy writing and penning poetry, yet performing and making films offer a different avenue for self-expression since everything is so meaningful,” she continued.
Pamela shared that she drew upon her own life experiences to shape her performance in ‘The Naked Gun’.
