How Patralekhaa's Producer Role Transformed Motherhood
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 16 (NationPress) Actress Patralekhaa has recently embraced the role of a producer with her film Toaster.
In a candid discussion with IANS, she elaborated on how this new responsibility has kept her engaged, helping her navigate the challenges of postpartum more smoothly.
“I am truly delighted about this opportunity. There’s something known as postpartum that can affect women, not every woman experiences it, but sometimes motherhood can feel overwhelming. However, thanks to Toaster and Raj, I feel grateful that the universe has supported me in this way; I didn’t experience it as intensely,” Patralekhaa shared.
The actress, who welcomed her daughter Parvati just a few months ago, expressed how her work has enabled her to be a more composed and effective mother. “I believe I’m a better mother to Parvati now. I’m in a positive space,” she stated.
Discussing her debut in production, Patralekhaa remarked to IANS, “Actually, Raj (Rajkummar) and I had been looking forward to entering the production arena for a while now. But then COVID and other unforeseen circumstances intervened.”
“Then came Toaster. I read the script and found it amusing; it felt light-hearted. Comedy, I’ve realized, is a far more challenging genre to master. Just because a script is funny doesn’t automatically mean it will translate into a successful film,” she explained.
She added, “I’m pleased we made this choice because making people laugh is incredibly difficult, and I hope Toaster achieves that.”
Toaster features Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, and Archana Puran Singh in prominent roles. Directed by Viveck Daschaudhary, the film is set to release on April 15.
