Payal Rohatgi Appeals for Support in Father's Prostate Cancer Battle

Mumbai, Dec 4 (NationPress) Actress Payal Rohatgi has made a poignant appeal to her audience, disclosing that her father is currently struggling with prostate cancer.

In a touching message, Payal elaborated on his health issues and the financial burden that has befallen their family, calling on her supporters to assist with contributions. On Wednesday, she shared an extensive note on her Instagram, stating, “I have chosen to share this on my social media after significant contemplation. In our nation, healthcare costs can be exorbitant. Every middle-class family operates with a constrained budget. My father had anticipated that he would receive reimbursement from the insurance company to which he has been paying premiums, but that has not happened. The annual medical insurance PREMIUM for senior citizens is substantial, yet when legitimate medical costs go unreimbursed, it is disheartening. He asked me to share this on my social media, and I am doing so to reach out through this platform.”

She continued, “We need crowd funding (donations) for my father. He is a senior citizen suffering from Prostate Cancer (diagnosed in 2018), COPD (shrinking lungs since 2006), and Very Severe Osteoporosis (since 2008). I urge my fans and followers to donate generously and transfer funds to the following account. I can provide additional medical reports via email as well.”

Payal Rohatgi gained fame as a contestant on the reality series Bigg Boss in 2008. In 2022, she was a participant on ALT Balaji's reality show Lock Upp, where she finished as the runner-up. The show was hosted by actress Kangana Ranaut, during which Payal revealed several surprising details about her life.

Rohatgi has also featured in films such as “36 China Town,” “Ugly Aur Pagli,” and Irrfan Khan’s “Dil Kabaddi.”

She is married to wrestler Sangram Singh.
