Ahmedabad, Jan 28 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commended the Coldplay band’s triumphant tour in India, highlighting the country’s extensive potential for live musical performances.
Coldplay’s recent concerts in India generated considerable excitement, featuring two sold-out shows in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. The British band's captivating 'Music of the Spheres' World Tour concluded with their Republic Day performance on January 26 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

While addressing the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended Coldplay's concerts, underlining India’s immense possibilities for live entertainment.
“You must have seen fantastic visuals from Coldplay’s concerts held in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. This illustrates that India has a significant scope for live shows. Prominent artists from around the globe are drawn to India,” stated PM Modi.

The Narendra Modi Stadium, recognized as the world’s largest cricket facility, served as the focal point for Coldplay’s performances, which received acclaim from attendees and the band alike.
Lead vocalist Chris Martin referred to it as “the best stadium in the whole wide world,” solidifying its reputation as a premier location for international events.
Coldplay's live-streamed concert on January 26 attracted an astonishing 8.3 million viewers, amassing a remarkable 165 million minutes of viewing time, as per reports.
