Mumbai, Aug 12 (NationPress) Actor Pratik Gandhi, who is preparing for the upcoming release of his streaming series ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’, has revealed that his character, Vishnu, is neither loud nor dramatic. He emphasized that the character is quiet and highly calculated.
‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ is an espionage thriller with a story that's grounded, gritty, and hauntingly personal. It explores the journey of Vishnu, an intelligence operative navigating high-stakes geopolitics not through bravado but via sharp instincts and profound emotional conflict. At the core of it is Pratik Gandhi, portraying a remarkably restrained role, a stark contrast to the typical gun-slinging, globe-trotting spies we often see on screen.
Discussing his character, Pratik stated, “Vishnu Shankar isn’t your average action hero. There’s no muscle-flexing or catchy one-liners. Vishnu acts with restraint. It’s all about the mind and the moral weight of the task at hand.”
He noted that the challenge lay in depicting a character perpetually caught between duty and conscience.
He added, “He’s not loud or dramatic. He’s someone who’s always observing, always contemplating. It required me to strip away all the performance and just remain present.”
For Pratik, the internal conflict was the most fulfilling aspect of the role.
“You understand how solitary this life can be, always pretending and calculating. That loneliness lingers. ‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ is an espionage thriller with real consequences. And that’s what makes it so captivating,” he noted.
The series also features Sunny Hinduja, Rajat Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Tillotama Shome, Kritika Kamra, and Anup Soni, delivering an emotionally charged perspective on the spy genre, where every choice carries weight, and silence often conveys more than action.
‘Saare Jahan Se Accha’ is set to premiere on August 13 on Netflix.
