Preity Zinta, a Proud Himachali, Emphasizes the Need to Reconnect with Nature

Mumbai, December 10 (NationPress) Actress Preity Zinta, who proudly identifies as a 'Himachali', emphasized the significance of nurturing our environment and shared her experience of planting a Cedar tree nearly three years ago, which has flourished beautifully.
Preity took to Instagram to showcase a before and after photo of her tree. In the initial two images, the actress is captured caring for the tree she planted. The final image reveals the coniferous trees, which can reach heights of 30–40 meters, covered in a blanket of snow.

Reflecting on her upbringing, Preity was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Her father, Durganand Zinta, served as an officer in the Indian Army and tragically passed away in a car accident when she was just thirteen. This incident also affected her mother, who suffered serious injuries and was bedridden for two years.
Regarding her career path, Preity made her acting debut in 1998 with the film “Dil Se…” alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She later starred with Bobby Deol in “Soldier”. Her portrayal of a teenage single mother in the 2000 film “Kya Kehna” significantly boosted her popularity.
