Mumbai, March 9 (NationPress) Deputy CM of Rajasthan Diya Kumari expressed her pride in the 25th edition of the IIFA Awards taking place in Jaipur, emphasizing the need to make the state more event and concert friendly.

On the green carpet during the second last day of the IIFA Awards on Saturday night, Diya Kumari stated, “These celebrities have traveled to various locations, and today marks the launch of our initiative.”

“They have created short films and video clips that will be shared on our social media platforms. You can also promote it, as they have highlighted Rajasthan tourism,” she added.

She firmly believes this will enhance tourism.

“This will boost tourism and subsequently filming opportunities. We hope that Rajasthan will gain significant recognition. Currently, only 12 percent of our economy stems from tourism, and we aim to increase this to 25-50 percent,” she remarked.

She affirmed that this won’t be the last major event in Rajasthan, known as the 'Land of Kings'.

“Certainly not the last. We will strive to host more such large-scale events and concerts in Rajasthan,” she stated.

“I am thrilled and proud that such a significant event is taking place. It’s a tremendous achievement for the people of Rajasthan and just the beginning of more to come. Let’s see what unfolds next,” she added.

On March 8, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma remarked that hosting the IIFA Awards in Jaipur is a proud milestone for the state.

He noted that Rajasthan is poised to experience a landmark moment as the Silver Jubilee edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is being held in its capital, Jaipur.

Sharma expressed great pride in this accomplishment, underscoring that IIFA represents not only an award ceremony but also the global growth of Indian cinema and culture.

“Hosting this prestigious event for the first time in Rajasthan will give the state a unique identity in the international film and entertainment sector,” he concluded.
