Did Rajinikanth Really Gift Packets to 350 Crew Members in Thailand?

Chennai, Aug 4 (NationPress) Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, who is taking on the role of a villain for the first time in his career in director Lokesh Kanakaraj's highly anticipated action film Coolie, featuring the legendary Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, has shared a heartwarming story about Rajinikanth's generosity while filming in Thailand. During the shoot, Rajinikanth surprised all 350 crew members by gifting them packets to help them buy something special for their children back home in India!

A video that has quickly gained traction on social media shows Nagarjuna recounting his experience working alongside Rajinikanth in Coolie. He remarked, "...There is nothing particularly new to say about his (Rajinikanth's) acting and style. Even after decades in the industry and numerous films, Rajini sir still takes time to practice his dialogues off to the side."

He then shared further insights that highlighted Rajinikanth's kind-hearted nature. Nagarjuna elaborated, "We filmed an action sequence at night for 17 consecutive days in Thailand. Over 350 individuals put in tremendous effort. On the final day, Rajini sir gathered everyone and handed each person a packet, encouraging them to take something back for their children. He is truly a compassionate individual. Collaborating with him has been a remarkable experience."

While Nagarjuna didn't disclose the contents of the packets, it left viewers with the impression that Rajinikanth had given monetary gifts to the crew members to support their families back in India.

Coolie has already built significant anticipation, becoming the highest overseas procurement for a Tamil film to date.

Industry whispers suggest that Lokesh Kanakaraj's eagerly awaited action film might reach audiences in over 100 countries worldwide when it premieres on August 14 this year.

In addition to Rajinikanth, the film features prominent figures from the Indian film industry, including Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Shruti Haasan.

Music for the film is composed by Anirudh, marking his fourth collaboration with director Lokesh Kanakaraj. The cinematography is handled by Girish Gangadharan, while editing is done by Philomin Raj.

Fans are especially excited as Coolie will showcase Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj together for the first time in nearly 38 years. The two last shared the screen in the blockbuster Tamil film 'Mr. Bharath' in 1986, where Sathyaraj played Rajinikanth's father. Interestingly, Sathyaraj had previously declined roles in some of Rajinikanth's earlier movies like 'Enthiran' and 'Sivaji.'

Coolie, which marks Rajinikanth's 171st film, will center around the theme of gold smuggling. Furthermore, director Lokesh Kanakaraj has confirmed that Coolie will be a standalone project and not part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
