Mumbai, July 28 (NationPress) Bollywood actor and filmmaker Randeep Hooda has shared how he was captivated by Hollywood legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, and Clint Eastwood, which sparked his passion for acting.
Reflecting on his early fascination with cinema, Randeep mentioned in an interview with IANS: “Like many kids in my room back then in a small town called Rohtak, which is now bustling, I had posters of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, and Clint Eastwood. These images fueled my imagination.”
“Gradually, I began performing on stage and discovered that acting is much more profound than just those posters or the films I adored.”
The actor went on to say that he started reading extensively and exploring various forms of acting and cinema.
“Eventually, something began to take shape, although I'm still on a journey to fully understand it,” said Randeep, who recently walked the runway for 'Blenders Pride Four Elements'.
On the cinematic front, Randeep is set to appear in “Matchbox,” an upcoming American action-adventure comedy directed by Sam Hargrave.
Based on the toy brand of the same name, “Matchbox” features stars like John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro, Teyonah Parris, Danai Gurira, and Corey Stoll, alongside Randeep. The film is scheduled for release in fall 2026.
Additionally, Randeep is working on the epic war drama “Operation Khukri.”
He has acquired the official movie rights to “Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad,” authored by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia.
This film will portray the gripping real-life events from 2000, where 233 Indian soldiers were taken hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and the daring rescue mission that ensued.
