Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Actor Ranndeep R Rai, who portrays Mohit in Rupali Ganguly-led “Anupamaa”, expressed that it is the top-rated show in the nation, making it impossible to decline any role within it.

“Firstly, this is the country’s premier show, Anupamaa, and refusing any role or character in this series is simply not feasible. I believe anyone in my position would have eagerly accepted without hesitation,” Ranndeep remarked.

The actor feels thankful and fortunate to be given the opportunity to embody the Mohit character and be a part of Anupamaa.

Reflecting on his feelings upon landing the role, he shared: “I experienced a mix of emotions. I was unsure how to respond due to the magnitude of the show. There was joy, excitement, and undeniably, nervousness.”

“Given the show's immense popularity, thoughts like—how I would find my place, perform, and collaborate with other artists—were constantly on my mind. However, all those feelings were ultimately positive,” he added.

Recalling his initial day on set, Ranndeep described it as an unforgettable experience.

“The first day was fantastic! We had an outdoor shoot, and my entrance scene involved saving Rahi, followed by a fight sequence. After that, I met Rahi and Prem, and I got injured, leading them to take me to their home. The scenes we shot at home were truly remarkable,” he noted.

Of course, Ranndeep admitted to feeling a bit nervous.

He added: “On your first day, you need to adapt to the team’s vibe, energy, and work rhythm. Since the team has been collaborating for a long time, it posed a slight challenge for me. But overall, it was wonderful!”

Ranndeep highlighted the distinctiveness of his character Mohit and how he differs from him in real life.

“I don’t believe there are many similarities. Mohit is somewhat unique. For instance, he has ‘Two’ inscribed on his hand, and he is somewhat isolated.”

“He has not experienced parental love. When you think about children raised without their parents' affection, their upbringing and life path diverge significantly from others. That's what makes Mohit’s character distinct from Prem’s character,” he explained.
