Television personality Rannvijay Singha is set to return as host of MTV Roadies for its 21st season, titled 'Roadies REBIRTH', marking his comeback to the franchise after a gap. The new season's identity centres on a Phoenix motif — symbolising transformation — and auditions are scheduled across four cities this September.

Expressing enthusiasm for the revival, Rannvijay said: 'Roadies isn't just a show for me; it's an emotion. After all these years, the hunger, courage and dreams of every Roadie still hit differently.' He elaborated that the season is built around pushing limits and resilience: 'Roadies REBIRTH is about that very essence, i.e., pushing your limits, fighting harder and refusing to back down. I've seen Roadies evolve over the years and this new chapter feels incredibly exciting because it brings that same raw spirit back in a whole new way.'

Rannvijay signed off with a direct call to aspiring contestants: 'With a new generation ready to test themselves, I can't wait to see who has what it takes to make their mark and how they navigate the twists and turns that await them. See you at the auditions!'

What the Rebirth Branding Signals

The season's new visual identity features a striking Phoenix, a bird universally associated with rebirth and renewal, signalling a deliberate creative reset for the long-running franchise. In a recent social media teaser, the camera closes in on Rannvijay as three red and three yellow helmets appear reflected in his sunglasses — a nod to the gang-based format that has defined the show.

Audition Cities and Dates

Roadies REBIRTH auditions are scheduled for Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Pune this September. The show, which premiered on 15 August 2003 on MTV India, is also available digitally on JioHotstar. Following auditions, selected contestants travel across destinations, competing in tasks that test physical, social, and mental endurance.

Rannvijay's History with Roadies

Rannvijay's association with Roadies stretches back to 2004, when he first appeared on the show. He served as a gang leader and later transitioned to host, remaining with the franchise until 2020. He was also part of the auditions judging panel from Season 8 through Season 18. Beyond Roadies, he has appeared in Bollywood productions including Toss: A Flip of Destiny, London Dreams, and Action Replayy, and made his Punjabi film debut in Dharti (2011) alongside Jimmy Shergill.
