Mumbai, Aug 4 (NationPress) Actress Rashmika Mandanna, known as the National Crush, has opened up about how she spends her days when not on a film set.
In a conversation with IANS, Rashmika shared, “During my off days, I aim to take it easy. My mornings often begin with journaling. I consistently write in my diary, which helps me stay grounded and appreciative. I enjoy moments with my dog, perhaps going for a stroll or catching up on books or shows I've missed.”
She added that occasionally, she might be engaged in a “brand call” or “working on Dear Diary,” as she is very involved as a founder.
“Yet, I make it a point to find serene moments with my family, nature, or simply with myself. Those precious moments truly rejuvenate me,” said the actress, recently featured in the crime thriller Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula.
This film features Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dhanush, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil, revolving around a beggar's life-altering transformation. It delves into themes of greed, ambition, and the moral challenges faced by the characters, ultimately leading to a quest for redemption.
Next, the actress has The Girlfriend set for release, a Telugu film directed by Rahul Ravindran.
Additionally, the 29-year-old star is part of Thama, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, which is described as a gripping love story set against a violent backdrop.
Thama follows a persistent historian as he dives into ancient manuscripts, revealing dark secrets about local vampire legends as supernatural forces awaken.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of 'Muniya' fame, this project marks Rashmika and Ayushmann's first collaboration with the director.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, the story of Thama is crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. Presented by Maddock Films, the drama will also feature Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in significant roles, among others.
