Chennai, Jan 14 (NationPress) Director Rathna Kumar, known for his forthcoming film '29' starring Vidhu and Preethi Asrani, has paid his respects at the revered Sabarimala temple.
On Wednesday, he shared images on Instagram with an Irumudi and captioned it, "Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa. Tat Tvam Asi."
Recently, the film's team revealed the role played by actress Preethi Asrani in this romantic drama.
On her Instagram, she posted glimpses of her character, introducing herself as "VIJI. #29TheFilm".
The film piqued interest when the title teaser was unveiled, featuring 29-year-olds being asked who they are. While some revealed their names or professions, the protagonist admitted to being unsure. As he gazes out a bus window, Preethi Asrani joins him, sparking curiosity.
Produced by G Squad, led by director Lokesh Kanagaraj, alongside Stone Bench Productions, headed by Karthik Subbaraj, this film is set to attract significant attention.
During the teaser launch, Rathna Kumar shared his personal experience, stating, "The first time I encountered suicidal thoughts was at 29. It shifted my perspective on life, making me a source of positivity for others."
He noted that filming took 35 to 40 days and described '29' as having a stronger romantic element compared to his previous work, 'Meyaadha Maan'.
Written and directed by Rathna Kumar, the cast also includes Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar. Mathankumar co-directed, with music by Sean Roldan.
