Recently, the film's team unveiled details about Preethi Asrani's character in this romantic comedy.

The project gained significant buzz when the title teaser was released, featuring 29-year-old men responding to the question of who they are. While some shared their names, others mentioned their careers or hobbies. The hero's response, expressing uncertainty, sets the scene as Preethi Asrani's character hops onto the bus and sits beside him.
This film is backed by two prominent production houses in Tamil cinema: G Squad, owned by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Stone Bench Productions, led by Karthik Subbaraj.
During the title teaser launch, Rathna Kumar shared a personal anecdote: 'The first time I experienced suicidal thoughts was at 29. From that point onward, my perspective on life shifted positively, and people now see me as a beacon of positivity.'
Regarding the film, Rathna Kumar mentioned that the entire shoot was completed in about 35 to 40 days. He humorously noted, 'If my previous romantic comedy, 'Meyaadha Maan', had a capital 'C', this film '29' will have an 'R', highlighting that this new project will emphasize romance over comedy.
Rathna Kumar not only wrote and directed this film but also brought together a talented cast, including Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar. Co-directed by Mathankumar, the film's music is composed by Sean Roldan.
The cinematography is handled by Madhesh Manickam, while R S Sathish Kumar manages the editing. Shanmugaraja oversees the art direction, and Praveen Raja is responsible for the costumes. Stunt choreography is led by Don Ashok.
