Mumbai, Oct 18 (NationPress) Following the triumph of “Kantara: Chapter 1”, actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty made a pilgrimage to the ancient Mundeshwari Temple in Bihar to convey his appreciation. Photos capturing Rishab at the temple revealed him engaging in aarti and smiling beside the holy site. He also participated in the coronation ceremony of Maa Mundeshwari, fully immersing himself in the temple's sacred ambiance.
A close associate of Rishab shared with IANS: “This temple is the oldest in the world, and Kantara draws from one of India's most profound narratives. The film also connects to Mata Chamundi, which motivated his visit.”
The Mundeshwari Devi Temple has been an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protected site since 1915. This historic temple is believed to honor goddess Durga and god Shiva, and is regarded as the oldest continuously functioning Hindu temple globally.
