Mumbai, Aug 18 (NationPress) Music composer Rishabh Kant, popularly known as The Rish, has stated that his recent work 'Barbaad' from the hit film 'Saiyaara' is reshaping the essence of romantic ballads in contemporary music.
'Barbaad' features prominently at a pivotal moment in 'Saiyaara' and is characterized by a captivating melody paired with exceptional production quality, illustrating the love story of the main character (played by Ahaan Panday) as he falls for the female lead (portrayed by Aneet Padda).
For this track, Rishabh joined forces with Mohit Suri and Yash Raj Films. He expressed, “Collaborating with Mohit Suri was a dream realized. 'Barbaad' is transforming how love songs are crafted, challenging conventional norms.”
The song is performed by Jubin Nautiyal, who masterfully conveys a journey from uncertainty to total devotion in love. Rishabh noted, “Jubin embodied this emotional journey with exceptional depth.”
With no prior film industry experience, debuting with YRF exceeded his expectations. “They are the pioneers of legacy, and I truly believe 'Saiyaara' is set to achieve great heights,” he added.
His music is steeped in emotion, intertwining themes of love and heartbreak with Indian melodies, wrapped in a modern, fresh sound.
Since his entry into the music scene in 2021 with QARAN’s Hope You Don’t Mind under Sony Music, The Rish has curated an impressive body of work. He made his Bollywood debut with Haanji and Desi Wine for Thank You For Coming, followed by Ro Lehn De for the acclaimed duo Sachin-Jigar. Along the way, he collaborated with some of India’s major talents, including Emiway Bantai, OAFF, Lisa Mishra, Nikhita Gandhi, and Raghav Chaitanya, all while developing a sound that is distinctly his own.
