Sai Deodhar’s ‘Maeri’ Tells the Story of a Mother’s Quest for Justice

Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) The creators of the much-anticipated thriller 'Maeri' featuring Sai Deodhar have released a captivating trailer on social media.
Produced and helmed by Sachinn Darekkar, the series also showcases Tanvi Mundle, Sagar Deshmukh, and Chinmay Mandlekar. The trailer suggests that 'Maeri' is a gripping emotional thriller that explores the complex fabric of family ties, revealing hidden realities and personal secrets.
In the show, Sai Deodhar takes on the role of a resolute mother, Tara Deshpande, while Sagar Deshmukh portrays her husband, Hemant Deshpande. Tanvi plays their dynamic daughter Manasvi, and Chinmay Mandlekar takes on the role of the determined ACP Khandekar.
Reflecting on her character, Sai remarked, “Portraying Tara Deshpande has been an intensely emotional experience for me. Tara is a mother driven to her limits by an unfathomable tragedy, and her pursuit of justice becomes both her source of strength and her heavy burden. The series narrates the harrowing tale of Tara Deshpande, a mother pushed to her limits when her daughter, Manasvi, is viciously attacked by a group of powerful young men. With the justice system failing to deliver, Tara embarks on a perilous and covert mission for revenge against the influential offenders.
'Maeri' is set to premiere on ZEE5 on December 6.
