Mumbai, May 30 (NationPress) Saif Ali Khan wears numerous hats – being an actor, a father, a husband, a brother, and a son. However, excelling in each of these roles necessitates achieving an optimal work-life balance.
During the Arab Media Summit, Saif articulated his perspective on what true success embodies.
In contrast to the common belief in relentless hustle, Saif contends that success is found in prioritizing family over chaos.
For him, the little moments are what truly counts, like returning home before his children drift off to sleep, taking family vacations, and maintaining regular communication with his mother and kids.
Elaborating on this, Saif said, “I dislike coming home and finding the kids already asleep. That’s not success. True success is being able to say, ‘No, I need to return home now to spend that half hour with them. We only get four holidays a year, and during my kids’ breaks, I don’t work. That time is invaluable.”
The 'Jewel Thief' star mentioned that he is at a pivotal stage in life where he must check in on both his mother and his children. “I’m at that peculiar age where I need to call both my mom and my kids. You think it’s just your parents that need checking on — then you realize it’s both,” he noted.
For Saif, being present for loved ones is the essence of life. He asserted, “While work is significant, so is preparing pasta together, sharing meals, and concentrating on the kids. That’s the true binding agent of life.”
Unveiling his definition of success, Saif added, “For me, success and privilege mean being able to say no to work and yes to spending time with my family.”
On the professional front, Saif has several projects lined up including 'Race 4', a biopic with Rahul Dholakia, an untitled film with Priyadarshan, and a social thriller with Hansal Mehta.
