Mumbai, Jan 17 (NationPress) Somy Ali, who has collaborated with Saif Ali Khan in films like “Aao Pyaar Karen” and “Yaar Gaddar”, has expressed her hopes for the Bollywood actor's swift recovery following a violent stabbing incident during a robbery attempt at his residence in Bandra.
In a heartfelt video message, Somy stated: “This message is directed towards Saif and Kareena. Kareena, I met you at around 15 years old alongside your sister Lolo.”
“You often visited Salman’s home, but I am shocked and stunned by the recent events involving Sterling Baba Siddiqui, and then Salman needing to enhance his security due to threats against him.”
“And now, someone has actually harmed Saif to the degree that he required hospitalization and the intervention of a plastic surgeon. I want to highlight that we have worked together on three or four films, and he is an incredible person, very cheerful, generous, and always spreading joy. This is an extremely distressing, terrible, and despicable crime committed against him.”
She emphasized that such incidents should not occur in Mumbai, insisting that the police must be “more vigilant regarding the situations involving Mr. Baba Siddiqui, Salman, and now Saif.”
“I am not suggesting or insinuating any religious context in this whatsoever.”
“Please don’t misconstrue my words because that is not my intention. I am merely stating that the Mumbai police seem to be rather negligent about these occurrences, especially since Bandra, or Bandstand, is one of the most affluent areas in India. I have spent nine years of my life in India and have known Saif since I was 16.”
Somy conveyed her wishes for Saif’s rapid recovery.
“We embarked on our careers together. While I haven’t had much of a chance to interact with Kareena, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Saif, I wish you a quick recovery.”
