Mumbai, Jan 22 (NationPress) Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto-rickshaw driver who assisted Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in reaching the hospital following a knife attack, recounted the sequence of events that transpired after the incident. He emphasized that his primary objective was to transport the actor to the hospital as quickly as possible.

The auto-rickshaw driver communicated with IANS, stating, “They (Saif’s family) indicated a time of 3:30 pm. I responded, ‘Alright, I will arrive.’ I was slightly delayed, approximately 4-5 minutes, and then we connected. While we were navigating through, his family was present as well. They were all anxious, but everything proceeded smoothly. His mother and children were there, and I was treated with great respect.”

For his assistance on that fateful Thursday night, Bhajan Singh Rana received Rs 51,000.

He also reflected on his encounter with the actor, saying, “I was invited today, which felt wonderful. It was nothing extraordinary, just an ordinary meeting. I expressed to him, 'Just recover quickly, I had prayed for your wellbeing before, and I will keep praying.’”

Saif was reportedly attacked by an assailant who broke into his Bandra residence through his youngest son, Jeh’s room during the early hours of Thursday. The actor is said to have gone to the hospital independently, accompanied by his son Taimur.

According to media reports, doctors extracted a 2.5-inch knife from his injury. The actor endured multiple stab wounds while attempting to defend himself against the attacker during the early hours of Thursday. He sustained six stab wounds, with two being particularly severe as they are located near his spine. The incident occurred at 2:15 am when the assailant allegedly forced his way into their Bandra home, attacking their house help and subsequently Saif when he intervened.

Saif was roused by the noise coming from his son Jeh’s room. He entered the room to find the intruder in a confrontation with their house help. Observing this, Saif stepped in to rescue the house help, confronting the intruder with his bare hands.
