Mumbai, Jan 17 (NationPress) The shocking incident of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan being stabbed by an intruder in his residence has sparked widespread outrage in both the film industry and across social media platforms. The auto driver who emerged as a hero that night has shared his account of the events and his swift action in transporting the actor to Lilavati Hospital without initially realizing he was a famous film star.
The auto driver, Bhajan Singh Rana, revealed in an exclusive interview with IANS that he was startled to witness a blood-covered man exiting the building, prompting him to rush the individual to the nearby hospital within a mere 5-6 minutes.
“Two other individuals accompanied Saif Ali Khan in my autorickshaw. In total, there were three people, including a child,” he recounted, emphasizing that he was unaware of the actor's identity at that time.
“It was only upon arrival at the hospital that I discovered he was Saif Ali Khan,” he added, noting that the actor maintained his composure and displayed remarkable resilience even after reaching the medical facility.
Sharing his recollection of that chaotic night, he stated, “While searching for passengers in the area, I was urgently flagged down by a group of individuals from the Satguru Apartment. Several people, including women, emerged from the building.”
“I observed a man in white clothing, completely drenched in blood. I suspected a fight may have occurred inside. However, I quickly proceeded to the hospital. The journey took approximately 5-6 minutes, although I did inquire about which hospital they preferred since both Lilavati and Holy Family hospitals are situated nearby.”
When asked about Saif's injuries, he mentioned seeing wounds on his neck and body, admitting that he was so alarmed by the situation that he didn’t think to ask about it.
“I didn’t ask him anything; I simply focused on getting him to the hospital as quickly as possible,” he said.
He also clarified, “Kareena Kapoor was not present in the auto during the ride to the hospital.”
It is worth noting that Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an alleged burglar in the early hours of Thursday. Reports indicate he was stabbed with a 2.5-inch knife and sustained six injuries, including a severe wound near his spine.
Some sources claim that Taimur, the son of Saif and Kareena, was the one who accompanied him to the hospital.
