Mumbai, Oct 13 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Salman Khan has openly settled the long-standing rumors regarding his discord with singer Arijit Singh, announcing that the talented vocalist will feature in his forthcoming movie, "The Battle of Galwan".
During a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, on Weekend Ka Vaar, comedian Ravi Gupta humorously expressed his nervousness about meeting Salman, noting that many people have compared his looks to that of Arijit Singh, referencing the acclaimed actor's so-called 'rivalry' with the singer.
This light-hearted comment brought laughter from the superstar, who took the chance to clarify the persistent rumors of their feud. "Arijit and I are good friends now," Salman remarked with a grin, indicating that any past misunderstandings were entirely his own. He went on to share that Arijit has contributed his voice to several of his films, including "Tiger 3".
He further stated, "Arijit will also be singing numerous tracks for my upcoming film, 'The Battle of Galwan'." For those unaware of the history, the conflict traces back to a 2014 awards ceremony hosted by Salman, where a playful jab directed at Arijit, who appeared fatigued after performing, led to unintended offense and a prolonged period of tension between them.
Over the years, Arijit made multiple efforts to mend their relationship. In 2016, he shared a sincere apology on Facebook, asking Salman to listen to his rendition of the song "Sultan". However, this post was eventually deleted when it received no response.
The first public indication that their rift had healed appeared in October 2023, when Arijit was seen visiting Salman’s home shortly after he sang for "Tiger 3", confirming that their feud has come to an end.
