Chennai, April 7 (NationPress) Actress Samantha has embarked on her journey as a producer with the film ‘Subham’. On Monday, she described the film's crew as a “small team with grand aspirations” and conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for the experience of producing and bringing this film to life alongside her dedicated team.
Samantha took to X to unveil the teaser for her inaugural production, ‘Subham’, stating, “I’m excited to share our collective labor of love. A small team with big dreams! We’re immensely thankful for this journey and what we’ve accomplished together. We genuinely hope you enjoy our film… and may this be the beginning of something truly extraordinary! #Subham @TralalaPictures.”
The teaser, released nearly a week ago in celebration of the Ugadi festival, opens with a newlywed couple engaged in a conversation on their wedding night. The groom attempts to portray himself as a tough alpha male, countering his wife’s assumption of him being a naive simpleton.
However, as the clock strikes midnight, the bride, who initially appears soft-spoken and gentle, reveals a more complex side of her character.
The teaser also depicts the groom chatting with his friends soon after.
His friends explain that there are two types of men: the ordinary kind and the alpha type. The newly married groom questions why it matters if he is not an alpha male. In response, his friends suggest that the bride might tolerate him for a day or two before leaving him for an alpha male from the neighborhood.
While the teaser hints at a horror-comedy, the dialogues suggest a deeper exploration of gender and relationship dynamics.
Samantha's production house, Tralala Moving Pictures, collaborated with Kanakavalli Talkies to produce this film.
Earlier, Samantha described this project as “a representation of Tralala’s vision for distinctive, thought-provoking cinema that captivates audiences and, over time, highlights remarkable content emerging from our Tralala banner.”
Written by Vasanth Mariganti and directed by Praveen Kandregula, who previously worked together on the acclaimed drama “Cinema Bandi”, ‘Subham’ promises to be an engaging story.
The film also marks the debut of six emerging talents: Harshith Reddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Srinivas, and Shravani.
Additionally, the film features a remarkable technical team, including cinematographer Mridul Sujit Sen, production designer Ram Charan Tej, and editor Dharmendra Kakarla.
