Chennai, April 18 (NationPress) Actress Samantha, who has stepped into the role of producer with the film ‘Subham’, announced on Friday that the movie will debut globally on May 9 this year.
Sharing the news on her social media platforms, Samantha expressed, "May just got Subham-fied. See you at the movies on May 9th! @TralalaPictures #Subham."
Recently, the actress referred to her film crew as a "small team with big dreams" and conveyed her appreciation for the journey of producing and bringing this film to life with her team.
On X, Samantha introduced the teaser for her debut production, saying, "Presenting to you our little labour of love. A small team with big dreams! We’re incredibly grateful for this journey and what we’ve created together. We truly hope you enjoy our film… and may this be the start of something truly special! #Subham @TralalaPictures."
The teaser, unveiled during the Ugadi festival, showcases a newlywed couple conversing on their wedding night. The bridegroom attempts to portray himself as a tough alpha male to counter his wife’s perception of him as an innocent simpleton.
However, as midnight approaches, the bride, who initially appears gentle and soft-spoken, reveals a different facet of her character.
The teaser also features a conversation between the groom and his friends, who inform him that there are two types of men: the common and the alpha. When the newlywed questions the significance of not being an alpha male, his friends warn him that his wife might tolerate him for a brief period before running off with an alpha male from the neighborhood.
While the teaser gives off a vibe of a horror-comedy, the dialogues indicate that the film might delve into themes of gender and relationship dynamics.
Samantha’s production company, Tralala Moving Pictures, collaborated with Kanakavalli Talkies on this project.
